Behind the scenes: YU Interior photo shoot

While it’s fabulous to see the culmination of a client's home, it’s equally lovely when you get the opportunity to document it on film. With two projects recently finished in The Raffles apartment complex in Applecross, the YU Interiors team, together with the talented photographer Jody D’Arcy, headed there recently to capture the beautiful spaces.

First up, we arrived in the underground carpark armed with a plethora of homewares and greenery – both key finishing touches that will bring any interior space to life.

We shot the apartments over two mornings as the early light is always preferable for interior shoots (take note, budding Instagrammers!). As with any sort of photo shoot, we were at the mercy of the weather Gods. From intense sun to overcast light, Jody deftly adapted to the changing conditions.

Jody and Tershia remake the bed for the umpteen time!

And while a space can look amazing in the flesh, realising it in a photograph is a different art altogether. From a slight change of camera angle to a gentle nudge of a cushion, you’d be surprised by the amount of effort required to make something look so effortless!
