Custom made furniture: The benefits of going bespoke

While there are plenty of fabulous furniture and accessory options available to us, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of commissioning a bespoke piece. Whether it’s a family heirloom, you have a difficult space that needs filling or sustainability is important to you, a custom made piece could be just the answer.

From bedheads to cushions, sofas and lamps, we custom make for our clients all the time and it’s something that is only increasing in popularity.

Whether you’ve got a strangely proportioned corner that is crying out for a piece of furniture to fill it (but you can’t find anything that works), or you simply can’t find anything that you like in retail stores, a custom piece can be a great solution.

It may be that people are tiring of our throwaway culture but we’ve noticed a shift of late, with more and more people looking to upcycle their existing wares than purchase brand new. Not only may there may be absolutely nothing wrong with an item aside from its worn or old-fashioned fabric, it’s a great way of keeping heirlooms in the family.
